Reminding that the opposition used the term “omnibus law” regarding such legislative proposals, Özkaya underlined that social needs are changing rapidly and that it is necessary to adapt the monetary values in many laws to the conditions of the day after the economic difficulties and high inflation in the world. Özkaya said, “Based on the rule that the provisions may change with the change of time, I consider that it would be more appropriate to call this and similar laws ‘adaptation laws’ instead of ‘omnibus laws’ and to have them included in our parliamentary law as ‘adaptation laws’, and I submit it to your appreciation.” said.

Turkey MP Özkaya stated that an 80-article bill that makes changes to a total of 28 laws and 2 decree laws in Turkey has been prepared and continued as follows:

Inflation has increased in our country, as well as all over the world, with the economic contractions, crises, and the Ukraine-Russia war that started with the pandemic that affected the last years of the world. Finally, in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, one of the biggest disasters in history that occurred in our country on February 6, more than 13.5 million people died. “More than our citizens, 11 provinces were directly affected, and 85 million people were affected both directly and indirectly. As a result of these events, unfortunately, we are faced with a very serious economic problem. According to the findings, it is stated that there is a loss of around 110 billion dollars. This bill is our proposal “It is also offered as a contribution to minimizing the damage of this economic process that also affects our country.”

Explaining that the proposal will make a significant contribution to the realization of Turkey’s economic goals, Özkaya emphasized that the proposal brings many economic conveniences, tax exemptions, discounts and discount cancellations, and is based on the fight against informality in many areas.

Özkaya stated that significant additional resources will be provided to the state treasury through the implementation of the bill; Stating that it is aimed to reduce the impact of the economic contraction that occurred as a result of political and social events felt in the world, especially the earthquake, he said, “Turkey will continue its economic struggle with its determined attitude and increase its ability to eliminate problems.” he said.

After Ali Özkaya’s presentation, discussions began on the overall proposal. Such bill also followed closely by the foreigners planning to invest in Turkey and company registration in Turkey.
